a week of love
in a single smile.

my souls delight,
somewhere
in a foreign rain.

i left you there,
in the night
you slept, I wept.

there were lights
far away lights
around me.

i thought i heard
your voice
in the distance.

i close my eyes
and feel your lips
so close to mine.

listen, can't you hear
the beat of my heart.
