secrets

A Poem by Izzy-01

They are as many as the multitudes of brightly lit stars agains a ppitch black sky
locked safely in the hearts of many
shared only with the ones we trust
the little portions of our lives that we care not to acknowledge
selectively recorded pasts that harbour pain sorrow, worry and anguish
they are the landmines that we set during, the civil wars of our lives
The second lives in our lives,
ones we would gladly do away with
The silent tormentors we create
that breathe the air we breathe,
that emerge when we least expect it,
and when we die cease to exist

"When we die we cease to exist", well that is a very interesting idea. Someone once told me you never truly die until you are forgotten. But, that discussion is for another time. Very nice poem, I really liked it :) It was well written and very pleasant to the ear. I must say it was one of my favorites to read.
