Omen

Omen

A Poem by J. Alicia

A raven perched upon the streetlight

The reaper's hand, one knuckle cocked--

Gloved

In india ink

Will he swoop to fly?

To fall?

The streetlight to blink its burden on

Until the hint of sun's first strvings

Snuffs dead a ravens perch?
