INK ...It Fails Me

To capture how I feel about him with mere ink and paper ...it's all about Jesus

My senses follow you

without choice

you lead me

gently...

as a butterfly

through random flight of days.

the breath…..

I cannot catch.

 

You are the green grass

that soothes my tired feet.

nuances of you……

lay tender season on my lips.

 

River to my soul

I am content…

to sit

and…pOeticize….

at the... very bank of you.

yet

”INK” ………

it fails me.

 

Morning rain

sings sleep songs…

that make my dreams slow-dance

calming me in ways…..

 wind

cannot whisper.

 

A word…

from you.

the essence  that calls me out

 of…

who  I once was.

A pOet  between split worlds.

 

You touch  me

with a thousand words

that fill my heart

and move….my humble pen.

 

yet….“Ink” ……..it fails me.

Such an ironic title since ink definitely did not fail you in the writing of this eloquent homage. All prayers should be this serene and melodic and lyrical. Even though your persistent use of capital O remains a mystery to me (which is fine, mystery adds spice to poetry as well as life), my favorite line remains: I am content� To sit and pOeticize�.
