Moments

Moments

A Poem by J3ssInJupit3r

There are moments in life

Where the pain wraps tight like a vice

Cutting deep into the flesh

Suffocating all light

The darkness soaks

Right down to the bone

The body shakes as if caught in a fever

But we all know it’s not

An illness

Pushing the body into violent fits

And there are moments in life

Where the light shines so bright

Blinding white with specks of color floating in sight

And the heart does swell

And the soul starts to shine

And the laughter that trills through the air

Is a feeling so divine

Both ends of the spectrum felt so fully. Wonderfully written. I could feel both extremes so intensely. This is a great piece! Keep up the awesome work!

Truthfully penned write. I like your word use but the second stanza seems a tad too short in comparison to the first stanza.

Wonderfully written, I enjoyed it very much. Truth in words.

In the first stanza, the pain has been described so well and in the next stanza, its all joy and happiness.
You have described two contrasting feelings in a very commendable manner.
