Ayah tip-toed

Down the long passageway

Hoping to find something

So mesmerizing that

Yasmine would be enchanted

 

It was cold there

The motion-sensing lights

Humming on and off as

Ayah crept around S-13

She’d heard the tales of mad science

 

Everyone heard

The rumors of scientists

On S-13 messing with life and

Death; exploring the realm

Of the Supernatural

 

It was gossip

But that never stopped teens

Of Carez from daring

Each other to sneak down

To the creep sub-levels

 

Ayah criss-crossed

From lab to lab, trying

To find a room that was

Open and low risk; the

Buzz of the lights; haunting

 

She was alone

And yet the eerie

Passageways called to her

Enticing Ayah to

Follow the blue tile

Judas exclaimed,

“No side missions. We find

What we came for and dip”

Carlo smiled and asked,

“What are we looking for?”

 

Judas exhaled

“Proof that whatever Von’s

Parents found out at sea

Caused mayhem.” Carlo gulped,

“The fishermen murder?”

  

A slow descent

Judas grind his teeth,

“What you know about it?”

“My dad’s the new sheriff,”

Carlo said, “It’s scary stuff.”

 

They came to a stop

“What did your parents find?”

Carlo asked. Von shrugged and said,

“Let’s find out.” Yasmine grinned

And exited the lift

 

Yasmine explained,

“We’re not finding it in here?”

Von looked at Judas and grinned

They stepped onto the blue

Judas shivered

As the motion-sensing

Lights hummed on; He caught Von

Smiling at Carlo

He stiffened up and huffed

 

Yasmine shoulder

Checked him as she moved up

He could not stand her but

They both cared about Von

And he knew she’d protect him
