“I said enough,” his dad said.

 

“What happened here?”

He asked, scanning the chaos;

We’ll do this at the station.”

Out of the water and

Dropped back onto the dock

Naye and Ayah lied flat

Sucking air into their lungs

I wished I was at the surface,
