Ocean Calling

Ocean Calling

A Story by JDAwesomeness

As I walked though the sand, I could feel the ocean's voice calling to me. The song filled my mind and controlled me. I kept walking through the moonless night until my feet met the water. Through the darkness I saw a figure sitting upon a rock. Her black hair framed her perfect face. She climbed off the rock and walk over to me.
"Dear child," she said in a honeyed voice. "Your life here is miserable, come with me and I will grant you with eternal happiness." I looked up and gazed into her silver eyes. I thought about what would happen if I said no.
I could walk home to sleep in bed with my forced and abusive husband. So I said what anyone else, in my position would say.
"Yes."
The woman took my hand and kissed it with her soft lips.
A wave of joy and relief washed over me as we dove into the sea, hand in hand.
