Adina's PoemA Poem by John KnowlesThere is this character in a bunch of my stories named Adina Dietrich. She's a punky girl in her early twenties who is somewhat of a charismatic psychopath. This poem is from her perspective.
Dear mother, what amount
Do I feel in a sense Of disbelonging? What floats on clouds, Coated in ice? Do you feel my past Or will to dance Within no boundries? And Dance; I want to dance with ribbons in hands, Reaching to the sky Never to see The earth again. I don't want to sit around here, All blank and covered in dust. For what? I cannot count the reasons For which this I desire, Maybe it's a leap of faith And a hand in the fire of this s**t. None the less, I think i'm Done.
