Milestones Linger

a silent expression of silence.

Beneath the ambiguous shrub where Passionate River meets the proud cliff  that  touches the bosom of the sky conceived beginning where heaven, man and earth agrees to commence conformity between an old soul and a seeker.

 

Baffling inauguration where laced with vague excitement for the sun has committed to shine on the “green pastures”. Yet the mystified seeker is ready but diffident to be part of the old soul.

 

Nirvana is a stone throw away yet the obsessive river stands between heaven and earth. With intention the old soul tries to prove worth and validity in the same way the seeker attempts to prove its equal significance.

 

Shall confusion be their epitaph?

Will the pompous boulders stand their ground in great antagonism? Shall severance be the scythe in order to find an answer to a question that is even perplexed to be asked.

 

Will the sovereignty of fate makes its own open ended story to be filled between an old soul and the seeker? Or ultimately, shall time will ones again be the judge between healing and understanding?

 

Maybe, silence shall be an old friend to reside.

They meet each other, the old soul and a seeker. They we're once one but separated by confusions. No more unsure reasons with your excitement for she committed on you.
The seeker was ready to reveal something although he's lacked of confidence to reveal it to the old soul.

They we're in different situation but still, they felt the same towards each other. They we're trying to filled the gap between them.
But they did not succeed in filling the gaps, the seeker got confused.
The seeker asked so many questions out of confusion.
The seeker was seeking an answers to his questions.

The "sovereignty of fate...?" The "time...?"
Can the answers of those questions may be the way to stop the seeker from seeking ?

But suddenly, he decided to stay silent from his thoughts and confusions, because he knew, it was all about his wasted efforts for his UNTOLD FEELINGS. For his LOVE.

One person who is confuse of his experiences in the past (old soul) and in the present (seeker). He is trying to merge them together but he can't do it, that's why he choose to live with it.

This poem represents one person but is divided into an old soul and a seeker by which the chain being connected on them resulted to this unfathomable emotion.

The old soul represents his life before and the seeker is his current life. He is a seeker in a way that he seeks for truth,true happiness and free from confusion.

But he cannot even find those answers it is because every time he was trying to change everything, trying to be a better person or let's say, he was trying to show himself that even though he had done something in the past which is not good but he still deserves that chance to be a better person.

But what made him so confused on doing it so, it is because every time he take his step towards his
journey, he keeps on looking backward on his footprints that losses his hope.

For now he think so that silence will be the answer to all of his questions or the sovereignty of fate will do. And he had that feeling that maybe time will come he will eventually find those answers and he still ends up with confusion.

The poem entitled Milestones Linger, I think there are two persona present the old soul and the seeker. They did not meant each other this world. Maybe both of them was confused of their actions/decisions. But the seeker trying to forget the past and remain silence.

The poem talks about the two major devision of life. The old soul as a past and seeker as a present,they are both reigning into the life of one's decision in life. The present trying to think and act into a new face of the world but challenge of what his adapting act and capability to think. He can't let go his past that's why he end up at what he's now. He chose to be contented rather than yearning.
