bored by freaks

A Poem by Joyce S. Greene
"

under the big top . . .

"

bored by freaks
and the sword swallower
giddy boys
crawl beneath the tent
to see the dancing girls

i like this poem Its simplistic, yes reveals the human male nature of discovery of ones self during the time when those feeling awaken toward a girl. Also it could be taken in another manner how people are attracted by the bizarre and cant become desensitized by the "Freakish" All in all this is a reflective piece and definitely one to ponder.

I'm down with the dancing girls. That sounds like some kind of disease

Not a disease, BR, just boys being boys. Thanks for the read.
I've never been a fan of freaks and sword swallowers either - too bad there aren't tents with dancing boys!

Thanks for your very nice review, Julie. You might have to go to a nightclub for that! lol
There is an air of youthful naughtiness in this one that is charming, Joyce. I liked it a lot. lydi**
