Anyone can write a poem

A Poem by J.L Hunter
"

Like a broken bag.

"

like a broken bag.

He walks with a sudden stride.

Smiling.

Because he gives something of a s**t.

About the world he lives in.

Dead fish.

Fish like floating paper in a sewer line, he gloats.

His fame is a mountain, steep, and as like a pyramid.

Incline of a bum.

Who sleeps underneath this bridge.

He is like a broken bag.

Floating with a sudden glide.

He smiles.

A pile of broken glass.

Who he is.

Author's Note

J.L Hunter
This is a poem I wrote in about five seconds. It is crappy. Yes. But mostly to prove a point. Literally, anyone can write a poem. But real writing, regardless of what kind of writing it is, takes time and patience and inspiration to experience. Too many people take for granted the art. Poetry is NOT candy.

poems come sometimes and sit on my shoulder, they whisper the words in my ear

other times i have to dig halfway to china to find letters enough to make words

anybody can write a poem, i suspect that not everybody can be a poet

"One mans garbage is another mans treasure"
even if you write about a tube sock hanging
from your bedroom doorknob
there can be poetry in being a slob...

not to disagree with note, but I liked every stinking line

Just want to let you guys know. I was drunk when I wrote this. And now that I am sober, I can see that it has a special kind of appeal. Sometimes I think we need to be out of our person to write something truly strange that makes you go.. O.o
