This heroic statesman was too far removed from the mainstream to be able to accomplish his goals. If he had we would surely see a different government than we do today!

You have done an excellent job of presenting the views of one of our courageous patriots in a way that causes us to question the "who?" and wish it was Mr. Henry's views that ruled the day!!

Thank you for your review. I believe our system is so tainted by self serving politicians, who by in large, do not care for the people's interests or for that matter the well being of our great country be they of either party its me first. We need a man today like Mr. Henry!

My fear is that it will change until the people have lost all individual rights! The fear that Henry had of our constitution when he fought ratification. We have lost so many rights in my lifetime that I fear for my grandchildren's freedom! Thank you for the comments!

I confess I did not know till I read Sheila Kline's review. I do believe Patrick Henry was a visionary, but I think things would have gone wrong in any case. We are to far from what the founders of this country intended.

I like how you brought back a strong voice forgotten. The great leaders of the past would be disappointed with the way the USA is heading. Need to turn the train around. Too many had died for freedom to be forgotten so easily.

Thank you for the comments. Henry, was to me, our true founding father! His Liberty Or Death speech led to the revolution, as Governor of Virginia he did a great deal to supply Washington's army, he established the Bill of Rights in VA, and forced them into the Constitution. He was Washington's strongest supporter in the revolution and his strongest opposition over the Constitution as written. He was a great orator and the true "Lion of Liberty". We need such leaders today.
