The Day One Was Greater Then Two(Astonishing Snow)

The Day One Was Greater Then Two(Astonishing Snow)

A Poem by Jacky Bones
"

Bad Winter

"

I got snow

Yeah baby

I know

Its snow

I'm cold, so cold

That its growing old

I try to tell myself

You told me so

The cuts on my throat

Shine an glow...

I've got rust in my mouth

I'll chew an spit it out

I swear, I swear, I swear it

The taste of braking hearts

Is the same as never going home

These towering towers stand silent for a bit

When you play your violin

They fall like cards

When you get here

You'll burn up in my atmosphere

So I sing where I stand

An I stand where no one can see

So maybe I won't be seen

Swinging around

Shutting doors

You can see the streets

Running through my eyes

I'm writing a letter that's defining alive

So I know what it means to be on my feet

Running from the waves

That take shape in my chest

Sideways steps

Desend to balconies

The bears and the bees

The ox and the trees

The sky the lover and me

It was an accident, It was an accident

I'm sorry

Mistakes look so beautiful

The ground shines reflections of the moon

An the difference is

It makes me feel the same

My favorite sight is when I'm distent

What can I say?

What have I done?

Oh my god,

I'm casting a shadow over myself

But what did you say?

But what could you have done?

I'm freezing

My toes are turning blue

Neck ties, Black lies

Baby, maybe my bed is growing cold

Cause these sheets were once rose red

Maybe my eyes are hazel, green or gold

But this room is a casket

That keeps askin

If I'm finally dead

These icicles just dont know

I always ask myself

When is the next last time I'll choke

Stacking answers on the shelf

When was the last time we spoke?

Next time I'll let the stitches do the speaking

I'm not seeking forgiveness or hope

But I hope you wear my dreams on your sleave

You better pray they keep you a float

I'll pretend to be me

Nothing but good intentions

The faces of undivided skies

Promises were only wounds

But they couldn't kill me

I'm cold, so cold

Its snow

I know

Yeah baby

I got snow

This makes me think of a scene. Like, what just happened was that someone killed their lover. Winter just began and it's something the two lovers would look forward to, but now this happened. He is stuck in a room, his lover dead on the bed, or the floor. He doesn't want to let her go because it was an accident. Maybe it was something he thought he wanted, but it turned out differently. It's been a few days since he killed her and now he's thinking or contemplating to himself. And that's what this poem is. Sorry if it's like, yeah. But that's what it made me think of.

I like this poem. No weakness in this poem. I like those internal poem with many questions. You create a sad situation and made it a interesting story. In death I believe we fought at the end to find purpose and reason to be alive. Complete poem is outstanding. I had to read a few times.

I really like this this was a great sort of bombardment of sentiments, I love that kind of writing so real.

Oh my goodness this is so beautiful!
I love the edge it has to it!!!
MY favorite part would have to be;
"You told me so
The cuts on my throat
Shine an glow...
I've got rust in my mouth
I'll chew an spit it out
I swear, I swear, I swear it
The taste of braking hearts
Is the same as never going home"
Other than a couple of spelling errors it's AMAZING!

I thought of a mock brag. My head displayed a sarcastic tone. Its kinda like, "Yeah, I have snow, but its slowly killing me, but oh yes, I have it" An inner torment of a sort......im not sure if what I just wrote entirely makes sense but thats what I was thinking. Good write!
