Dance

Dance

A Poem by Sarah
"

This was written about ballet, my favorite of all the dance forms I have ever performed!

"

Dance is a passion,
A faith, a religion,
It is voiceless words incarnate.
Expression without falter,
Grace without thought,
Hard work, sweat, breathless glory.

It is liquid ivory-
An overflow of viscous emotion
and melted chocolate.

It is a bitter and elusive chimera;
fey and fragile-
with steel cords for veins and a calm exterior.

Conflagrant tempers
and blue-world fire,
It is sound and silence and sex,
Fervent wishes and bound feet.

It is covetous resolve and
tears and joy and giddy laughter.

It is whole-souled--
the aggregate of a many-aspected personality.

It is not simple
But it is pure.

You expressed the art of ballet very well, a nice read.

Sensuous and well written, could be alot better in form and dynamics and
wording, although I love the simplicity, just seems choppy and grabs alot,
overall a pleasure to read, I think the effort put forth is great, nicely done.

This is beautiful. I used to dance myself. Love the way you express this, it flows so smoothly.
