Secrets and lies

Secrets and lies

A Poem by Jade Stone

This little piece of me
None are able to find.

Behind all these walls
A monster is hidden behind.

It tears and growls itching to come about
This burning sensation flutters within me.

As I let it out.

This poem speaks to nearly all of us. We're so reluctant to reveal our true self, fearful of judgment and rejection. But, when we do, that "monster hidden behind" is under our control, not dominating our actions or emotions. Then, we're truly free. That's hope and strength realized.
