Beautiful Mess

I would give you anything to feel
Something else
Something other than the emotions
That surround me like a whirlwind
Instead of all these feelings I've
Dealt with for years and still
Yet to understand
But I wouldn't trade them for anything
In the world
Not the lingering thoughts of self-harm
Or the lust filled monster inside of me
Because my poems would have no meaning
The music I hear would just be words and a beat
Roses would just be a flower

And I wouldn't be alive.

"Because my poems would have no meaning " That is something I understand completely well. Its those hardships that we dealt with before which gives meaning to our lives.
