Husky and the Wolf

Husky and the Wolf

A Poem by Jadon96

A winter storm blew through the forest,

dusting the surroundings with sparkly white all around.

Under the glittering trees in the thick fog was a set of paw prints following a small creature to the west.

He was alone, still young as he stumbled across the cold snowy ground.

He was a husky, though only a pup in need of nurture.

He was abandoned and left behind.

He wandered around the forest,

trying to find a way to survive Mother Nature.

Looking around searching for shelter- anything he could find.

He searched and searched until he became weak.

His steps became less and his walk began to slow.

He had no strength to survive

as he fell onto the forest floor near the creek.

As he widened his eyes, an image of another creature began to grow.

An outline of a female wolf became more and more clear.

She moved after a period of time slowly with her paws,

though seeming even more afraid than he.

She came closer, slowly kneeling her head down to his ear.

Her nose gently touched his without a pause.

He gained the strength to lift himself up as she guided him to a cave.

Once inside, he collapsed down and began to rest.

When he woke, he felt her cuddled next to him,

keeping him alive with the warmth she gave.

He knew he was alive, so happy and so blessed.

He knew he had found the one and she really cared.

For the first time, he felt loved,

as he gazed into those eyes as he stared.

I believe that everyone should share their writings. When someone writes, it shows more and more about the true person he or she is. We should share ourselves and be open to one another. That is a tru.. more..
