Prologue.

“You can see me?” The posh girl asked, tilting her head to the side in disbelief. Jessie chuckled obviously this ghost had never seen anyone like her before.

“Yes, I can see all ghosts.” She replied, taking a seat on the grass beside her. She watched as the ghost processed what she was just told, a chuckle escaped her lips as she watched the ghost’s confusion.

“How do I know you aren’t dead like me?” She wanted to know.

“Maybe because live people can see me?” Jessie never meant to sound harsh, but what more could this girl want from her?

“Oh, well what is your name?”

“My name is Jessie, what is yours?” She smiled at her new ghost friend, it wasn’t often that she met one her own age. Usually they were old men or small children.

“Catherine Miller.” The Ghost introduced herself.

“That’s a beautiful name; it’s nice to meet you Catherine.” She put out her hand for the girl to shake, but Catherine did not do the same.

“What it’s just a handshake?” Jessie laughed nodding towards her hand.

“You can touch me?” The ghost was confused, and Jessie just laughed at her.

“Yes, why wouldn’t I?” Jessie dragged out her words as if she was saying ‘Duh’ which would have probably seemed rude to the poor girl.

“Oh, it’s just no one has ever touched me, since I well died.” Catherine explained looking away embarrassed.

“Well, let me tell you a thing or two about what I can do.” The girls walked hand in hand by the willow trees, as Jessie explained everything there was to know about their new life together.

Really interesting story basis, I like it. however, I think you should maybe try to work on making it flow better, making the dialogue sound more like people actually talking, and maybe get to grips with some commas: you’re missing a few.
“Jessie chuckled obviously this” there should be a comma after “obviously”
“what is your” to “what’s”
“The Ghost introduced herself.” you don’t need a capital, unless you’re using one every time you use the word ghost.
“Oh, it’s just no one has ever touched me, since I well died.” to “Oh, it’s just, no one has ever touched me since I, well, died.” will probably create the effect you want.
Really nice beggining though, very sweet.

This was a very strong opening. I love that you didn't waste time explaining unnecessary details in the beginning.

Wow. That was very interesting. I liked how the opening captured the reader. It made me keep reading until the end. Nice word choice also. I can also see the beginning of the characters' development. Nicely done :)
