The Wedding DayA Chapter by SuicidePact.
“Get your butt into gear.” The southern twang of one of my closest friends, burned in my ears as she came bursting into the suite. Tamy and I were lounging about on the sofa and had completely lost track of time. I felt rather foolish having had wasted the entire morning. Now it was going to be a mad rush to pull everything together.
“Shoot.” I almost cursed when I spotted the correct time on the clock; Miley looked at me disapprovingly as if to say “Then why are you still sitting there?” I jumped up in a sudden panic and began muttering behind my breath.
“It’s like you read my mind.” She said lowly before shaking her head and dragging me out to where all the other ladies were waiting.
“There you are honey.” Lou’s mother greeted me I was surprised to see her here as I had expected her to be helping her own son get ready for the main event.
“I tried to go in but Zayn wouldn’t let me, he said he’d come looking for me when they were ready.” She explained as if she’s read my mind.
“Oh.” Was all I said before Bailey and Lottie shoved me into a make-up chair. I had been in many make-up chairs in my life, which was normal given my choice in career, but none were quite like this one. I had never been under the brush of this pair. It would be an understatement if I simply said ‘They took their work seriously.’
“Stop moving your lips!” Bailey whined as I tried to engage in conversation with the woman who were all there to help me get ready. Miley was laughing in the background which I found really difficult not to join in.
“Mum does this look alright?” Lottie asked her mother, as she had been playing with my blonde locks the entire time. I heard the women muttering but I wasn’t paying much attention to what they had been saying. All I could think about was what the boys were up to and the nerves that filled my empty stomach as I hadn’t been able to eat a thing when I woke up!
It was a while before they had finished my make-up, although the whole production was extremely short compared to what I had to sit through every morning on set, there were no mirrors in my line of vision so I had absolutely no clue whatsoever as to what I looked like. I ran my hands through my hair, which Lottie had been so kind to curl, I felt the ringlets between my fingers, they were quite tight, but I liked the way they felt. People around me were staring at me and I was worried that maybe there was something wrong with the way I looked; I was absolutely terrified of having stress related breakout upon my face. It was absolutely silent in the room, while all eyes were on me. I could just her the faint sound of talking from outside the room familiar voices were down the hall I could hear the sounds getting louder, their footsteps as well as their voices. It wasn’t long until I could see them poking their heads around the door, Kristen gasped and Katy turned to face me.
“Holey Sh"“escaped the pop sensations lips as she too began to stare at my face.
“What? Is there something wrong?” I panicked looking down towards my bare feet.
“No!” Everyone yelled at once, I think I even jumped at the sudden outbursts of sound.
“What are you all looking at then?” I was confused as ever, slightly embarrassed too.
“You look gorgeous is all.” Lottie told me handing me a hand mirror, I looked around at everyone’s faces once more and they all seemed to be saying the same thing ‘Look at yourself.’ So I did. I looked into my reflection "which I hardly recognised at first. I had been poked and prodded many times in my career, I’ve worked with the best of the best in the make-up industry but somehow both my sister, and my sister in law had transformed me into Mrs Tommo, no I don’t mean I look like Lou’s mother, it was more than that. I looked like a bride, not a movie bride an actually fair dinkum about to walk down the aisle bride. I looked like bloody Cinderella, and I hadn’t even put the dress on yet!
“Mrs T-. “ Zayn stopped dead in his tracks as he came into the room, his expression was very similar to Kristen’s he stood there gaping at me.
“Close your mouth.” I told him, having a little giggle. He looked extremely embarrassed over his reaction, but so he should be!
“You boys ready for me?” a voice behind me asked, and he nodded. I watched as my mother in law followed him out the door, it all started to become real to me, I was less than an hour away from my wedding, I was absolutely terrified!
