Reach For Me

Reach For Me

A Poem by James

Hear my voice on a cool Spring evening
It whispers through the trees,
carried on the sea breeze across the coastal plain
to rest on your gentle lobe.
And see my face in the dusky haze
staring deeply into your brown eyes set aglow with the setting sun.
Feel my hands in your hair, my breath on your face,
my lips on yours when you look to the sky
and feel the morning dew kiss you softly.
Remember me when you close your eyes
and reach for me in your dreams.

Most people are inclined to be polite, but not me. I agree with your assessment of this poem. There are many predictable phrases that have been used so much, it’s kinda cliché. But you knew that. The main thing is that you haven’t been posting here lately & we miss your posts, so we’ll take anything you write & just be glad for the brief connection, hoping you’ll be back into writing mode eventually someday! Your gentle heart still shines thru, no matter if your words are lightly tossed or highly crafted! Stay happy if you can’t stay here! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

Don't be afraid to write bad chess poem. But in the fact bad chess poem don't exist. It's just matter of opinion for me this poem it's quiet nice. At poems I don't judge by the rules or literacy quality.,important is how they touching me and what is really inside . I find quiet funny when people judge another people writing. This is not Profesional writing site. Mostly people come here relax and chill out. I like what said Irish Murdoch about critics they are important like news about raining in Patogony.

Sometimes we just gotta write what we gotta write, and if it's cheesy, well I just hope it's as good cheese as this. :)

Thanks, Nemo. Glad you enjoyed this
Cheesy indeed. One might even say, 'sweet.'

For what it's worth I like it -- whenever I try to write cheese, it still comes out as gloomy and lifeless. Oh spring!
