Burnt Soul...

Burnt Soul...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

Hell Fire...

"
Burnt Soul...

His soul smoldering in an inferno lit life,
flames of sin, ash away unrighteous decisions,

Leaving a crispy soul, to cry black tears of help,
to a GOD, his burnt soul has denied from the beginning of time,

With all bridges completely inflamed,
the scorched soul has no other option but to submit
to his creator and beg for forgiveness of sins,
and help to refurbish his hell fire inner being,

With his knee bent and a melted tongue to confess,
his charred soul, will start his upward assent to repairing,
a lava plagued heart,

With his soul completely embers, he reaches for the heavens
and yells, " FREEDOM " and for the first time in his hell bound life,
he feels just that...

I really enjoyed this poem. The way you describe the 'scorched soul' and 'smoldering' really paints a vivid picture and can tell of what we go through and experience in life.

Really well done. :-)

The taste of even a little freedom on a tormented soul must be heavenly, so nothing is out of reach if one is willing to work for it even if one is held in hell. I like dark poetry because without the darkness how can we truly appreciate the light, thanks for sharing.

Thanks, I feel the same about you! Hey check out sweet sounds. I appreciate your review!
We are all brought to our knees in this life. While on our knees we either acknowledge God with acceptance and repent or we turn away and place blame. A powerful message lies in this one.
