Cross Wind...

Cross Wind...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

Wind walking in love...

"
Cross Wind...

With the cross wind, I want to grab you and jump in,
let's not pretend, I want to spend my life with you,
are you ready to begin,

Like the wind dancing with the clouds,
I want to dance my life with you forever,
without any doubts,

We can waltz through this life,
you and I as a team,
won't you please be my wife,

1 2 3, we will step over or around,
any trial or tribulation,
because together we can face any situation,

We have danced into each other's hearts,
and there isn't anything that can pull us apart,

The next step in this dance is completely up to you,
but I am certain, that I'm in love with you,
I just need to know what you would like to do,

If you love me as I love you, please take my hand
and accept this dance, I want nothing more than
to give our love a chance,

So with the cross wind are you willing to jump in,
and let our love dance begin,

Now I can't promise you where this wind will
take us, or where we will end up,
but we'll leave that in God's hands
and let the great I AM handle our plans...

James I really like the crosswind because you are not offering smooth sailing here, and marriage is rarely smooth sailing. You are offering something more and that's to stick with it through the winds of change and that is worth so much more. This has a great tone with your waltz of words throughout the poem which is echoed in the dancing structure with the strophes of twos, threes and fours. Well written my new friend. ~Jan

"With the cross wind, I want to grab you and jump in,
let's not pretend, I want to spend my life with you"

The possible ambivalence of this phrase struck me instantly and compelled me to read on.
