Peace & Goodbye...

Today I must cut ties with all the lies
you've been living in,

I can't pretend any longer,
I must grow stronger and move forward
in my life, without you and the strife,

I have given you the benefit of every single doubt
and every time I'm let down and alone to pout,

You and your lies have completely severed this tie
and I have no more tears to cry,

You have pushed me way to far this time
and I am positive that I don't want you to be mine,
So grab your stuff and get on the grind,

I hope all your lies were worth it
because you and I both know I didn't deserve them,
but they kept coming again and again
and today is the day that it all comes to an end,

I have to do what I have to do and your lies
made me hate you, I'm sick of this misery always blue,

Today I cut ties with you and your lies,
Peace & Goodbye...

Hi James WOW!!! I love the passion that pours from this poem!! You have displayed it many other pieces, but this one doesn't underlie your words, or hide behind metaphors. It is there, staring into the reader's eyes and telling them. This poem moves onward from the beginning and heads in one direction letting emotions fly, visually and verbally!!! You can really feel the pain but also that complete sense of just being DONE. We try so hard to make a relationship that is broken work or when its over but we hang on to the memory of it ...sometimes we finally realize to truly move on we need to let go!
Such a brilliant write, so raw and full of emotion!
