If I could I would...

If I could I would...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

But I know who can:)

"
If I could...

If I could take every ounce of pain away,
If I could make everyday a day in heaven,
If I could answer all of your prayers,

You know I would but I can't,
although I do know who can,

If I could make you understand that his eyes
are always on you the sun and moon,
If I could die for you to make sure you have eternal life,
If I could guide you to paradise,

You know I would but I can't,
although I do know who can,

If I could make all your wrongs right,
If I could bring light to your dark nights,
If I could make you experience perfection,

You know I would but I can't,
although I do know who can,

If you want his number,
it's 1- 800 THE LIFE
he's been longing for your call...

I speak to him with daily reverence ...he knows me well. We've been pretty tight since he took my Dad away from me when I was only 6 years old.

This place needs more poetry like this to adorn its halls! Many blessings, James!

Wow...liked the punch line in the ending. The word "If" really gave a strong tone to the poem.
