A River Runs Through...

I am mesmerized by the overwhelming beauty of the great Colorado River,

So powerful, but yet so pleasant and also great in stature,

As I soak in all of it's glory I keep imagining my heart being so similar in so
many ways,

The water raging throughout the river walls, reminds me of my cascading love
flowing from my heart throughout my friends and family,

Sometimes even overflowing on to the dry land as my love will also do to people
whom are unaware of why I love them,

I am proud to have this river as I see it running through my body and pray I will find
a way to preserve it,

God knows that love is the answer to everything, but God also knows that hate is always
present trying to dam that beautiful flowing river a.s.a.p.

I am aware of it's presents and I try with every once of strength to let my love flow freely
even when family, friends, work, or even everyday passerby's try to beaver a home in the
middle of my bloody river,

So I encourage you too also allow your love to flow freely like the oh so powerful but pleasant
Colorado River,

I am positive that there are many out there that really and truly need to get wet,
a river runs through you too...

I only have one problem with it. I feel that the word "stature" would only fit if the river were flowing vertically which would be AWESOME. But stature is more for height, rather than length or depth which WOULD apply.

And this makes me realize I haven't been in a river all summer, last summer I practically lived in a kayak. The word "jealous" comes to mind lol

Good read. And one of these days I hope to see more of the world than Dixieland. Colorado has always been high on the list. Tell the river that I promise I'm coming!
