Where does evil come from?

Where does evil come from?

A Poem by Firemay
"

Is evil just another thing that can't be stopped?

"

Can you find evil under a rock?

High in the sky?

Can you find it over there?

Or even nearby?

What makes this evil mind,

Start to work all alone?

What makes this weird mind,

Want to eat you to the bone?

What makes a man a rapper?

What makes a man a killer?

What makes a tiger eat a child?

Do they do it for the thriller?

Is it because they are unloved?

Do they just want a simple hug?

Is it because they can’t be controlled?

Is it simply like an addicting drug?

If someone loved an evil thing,

Would he be called evil too?

How can one love such a thing?

That can wake one day and murder you?

Like always a comment review is welcome.
I got the inspiration from a writer on this site and from a song that was written long ago (not by me).
I started lately writing songs that are all questions, i think it really makes you think.
Tell me what you think about my new way of writing.
Thank you!

Your poem is a well reasoned examination of human nature and it's weaknesses, which, is usually governed by greed

Unfortunately, good and evil are just perceptions, depending on whether you are gaining or losing from other peoples actions. One person's patriotism is another person's enemy.

When we all have a common goal ,evil will become redundant.... but I fear that will never be.
Your poem effectively tries to qualify this, and I applaud your thin but in the end the only "official" answers come from self annointed experts.
But keep examining and writing in this way, Firemay . It's healthy to question any form of dogma.

This would make a good song, set to a piano and maybe a string instrument? Key of D minor and you're in business haha.

I liked it, it's really thought provoking. Philosophers to psychologists keep trying to answer the question, but I don't think they ever will.

Good luck, if you do, i'd like to know. Thank you.
Good questions. There is an evil in all of us and that has to be reigned. We have a good person in all of us as well and that needs to be promoted.
Sometimes circumstances play a big role in what type of person we are going to be

One of THE biggest questions of human existence... and you have voiced it well. Is evil a part of nature, as asked in the first stanza? Or is it a product of human desire for action, love, pleasure, etc.? The final stanza is particularly intriguing to me. It makes me think of all the people who have done terrible things throughout their lives, and the fact that there are people who love them despite these things. What kind of things go through their minds when they see what those they love have done? How powerful is forgiveness? I love the way you have addressed so many facets of this highly complex issue through the questions in this piece. Great work!

I think your new style of writing is quite encouraging, what I'm noticing is that you are using more thought provoking concepts in your writings... I like the way you have asked some questions to the reader and make him think about them in a logical way... Evil and good both are two sides of a coin, both fulfill each other... Your last four stanza has been outstanding... Evil comes from pain, struggle, and heartbreaks of a heart, evil is not evil by itself but circumstances make it...

Sincerely
Dhiman

I completely agree
I liked the last two things alot. Honestly from a third person's point of view this question makes so much sense. How can one love anything that courts disaster. Why are people Okay with being masochists? And honestly, its not an accusation hidden under question. It is sheer curiosity. What can it be that drives one to something evil and dangerous?
I loved the way you put your thoughts in this one. Great going. keep writing!

Hahaha that's good.
Without evil, do you think the circle will ever be complete?

Imagine, if there was no evil, will good be any good?

I thought of this many years back, evil is the necessity and good are what we are doing to rectify the situations. Because, evil is just part of moral and these morals are different in every human or any lives.
