Butterfly Kiss

 

I stood by the corridor

Waiting for someone to talk to me

A girl I knew, not knew but loved

Suddenly stood beside me

Neither of us made a move

Obviously, I was nervous

I looked at her confidently,

Waiting for the perfect timing

My mind wandered slowly

Thinking, looking for a strategy

How am I supposed to kiss her?

How am I supposed to make her love me?

 

Again, I took a glimpse of her

This time I caught her looking back at me              

I felt that she was nervous too

I knew she felt the same way I did

For the 3rd time I looked at her

This time I was sure

I was going to kiss her

I was going to make a move

But she got me first

I felt my Heart stop beating

She gave me a butterfly kiss

Her lips were as sweet as flowers

They were as light as the clouds

I'll never forget this day

The day my Love gave me a Butterfly Kiss
