Conscious evolution

This life is but a lesson,
To learn to live and love.
Pure intent and consciousness,
The stairs that lead above.
Shifting sands sent our way.
Guiding those who are willing to walk.
To a place beyond comprehension
existing only in thought.
Skin and bones restricting us
to live inside this state.
A vessel to pick a destiny
a choice of love or hate.
Ridding ourselves of the ego.
We see ourselves dissolve.
Fading with it life and death.
Beyond them we've evolved. As we near the journeys end
the truth begins to unroll.
We've escaped our fate leaving ourselves
to become one with the whole.
