Love Snatches Bodies (What's a Heartbeat Got to do with It?)

A Poem by Blade & Blood (The Black Plague)
"
"Love is a serious mental disease." -Plato
"

Love through inexperienced eyes

Are seen as the ugliest of lies.

Thoughts are misleading; actions intimidating;

Feelings are sickening; nothing much happening.

The many symptoms of this sick, twisted, mental disease

Are abominations impossible to escape! No way they are siezed!

Love conquers the body, tearing it limb from limb,

Leaving nothing but a worthless heart a soul can't live in.

I can never listen to my heart;

It's a damn dirty liar I can't trust anymore!

A mind becomes numb and useless,

But I somehow function, nevertheless.

The horrors of this romantic sense

Can surely make a fit body worse than tense:

Hands are ripped; lungs are torn;

A face is scarred; eyes are gored.
