I Sit On A Front Porch SwingA Poem by JP142000
I sit on a front porch swing
A beautiful wood front porch swing And watch the world go by I sit on a front porch swing A beautiful wood front porch swing And look up at the sky I sit on a front porch swing A beautiful wood front porch swing With ear buds in my ears Just my ITunes and I These are the moments I hold so dear Why are these moments so precious? Because they are the fleeting kind For tomorrow I could be gone but this porch swing will survive It will survive to tell my stories The stories only its oak knows Because here on this wood porch swing I feel right at home This porch swing helps me bend reality Forget my worries for a while All it does is rock me And leaves me with a smile This swing holds my tears, my sweat, my pride This swing knows my dreams and it hopes they will survive This swing likes my taste in music and understands my pain This swing helps me escape and never asks to get paid I sit on a front porch swing A beautiful wood front porch swing And I feel like I can fly
