Balance

Balance

A Poem by Jeremiah Medina

How much longer?
Aspire to become.
Must we pretend?
More than before.

Shrug it off.
Stumble home groaning.
Look the stairs.
Begin the climbing.

With every generation.
New attacks on.
Yet always different.
Don't destroy us.

Freedom our reward.
Love will prevail.
For our ideals.
We wont fail.

Inspiration strikes all.
Learn from mistakes.
Lost or discouraged.
What came before?

For our psyches.
Their mental experiments.
Post traumatic syndromes.
Recognizing the pattern.

Subconscious hints art.
Preserve the future.
Endearing the omega.
The wolves howling.

As heavens weep.
We fight hell.
Pend our doom.
With your misinformation.

Your body count.
Doesn't phase me.
Cowards take lives.
Heroes save them.

Ignorant parroting ego-trippers.
Other words for.
Your double standards.
Repeated stupid mantras.

Counting the words.
Look it's terror.
What of others?
The most prevalent.

Historical evidence shows.
Originality is beneficial.
Human slaves are?
Brain washed masses.

End the atrocities.
Meditate to remember.
Prize your zens.
Keep it balanced.
