Perthro in the Sky

Perthro in the Sky

A Poem by Jazmen

I own a gregarious mirror image albeit unfound!

She's nside a travelers hat bargaining with the devil
The body below is shivering; wet with sleet and damp in the feet
and the head feels unrested, scanning the tangible realm: snapped away from deep, epitomic dreaming
so here birthed is my persona,
who simply is not willing to form full memories
challenged when communicating with others
and consistently rear facing the mirror " describing it’s color and truths.
Away with the devil, dancing tiredly and distractedly on the edge of the world.
Fleeting doubt blunders from below toward the devilish, selfish soul, still attached to top of the head.
When someday sanctioned from the spell; I’ll be bleeding fire from the heart  pumping wildly in the fog.
(And remember then that I’ve always been alive in this way…)
Way to the forest; protrusions of preeminence, wrought bountiful in spirit and movement.
Begin to sweep the banks in the mind " filter through distinctions of sovereign sounds -
All alone in the cold, how must you feel?
I feel my ego talking to me,
I feel her comfort ending
She screams like a child, and the sound of her voice rubs against my chest and face " I feel hot with anger
and I can feel the electric current inside me strengthening but it’s wreaking confusion and hate
puttering in my mouth - I am overwhelmed.

Yes, I am. -Alone in the cold.- And my feet are as cold as the stones that make up the riverbed
The mirror that forms the bridge between my ego and my soul is still behind me  and I have not yet looked over my shoulder.
A false mirror, one that still holds many truths, still stands in front of me.
Like a vortex, I feel it honoring me, it knows my presence " it holds my attention.

I am naked now and I stand alone.
Snow falls down on me and this gold frame - one of melted sand and no memories that have ever lasted -
Perched along the coast of trees - which direction do I turn toward and travel hereforth?
Toward the lightning flashes and the hills rolling ever on, toward the bridge amid the unforeseen
