Girl Meets Boy

Girl Meets Boy

A Poem by Robert Luna
"

inspired by a piece I read by Raven. I hope you enjoy

"
I am empty
broken
incomplete
could you love me
tell me
just tell me
I am beautiful in your eyes
despite my scars
tell me
please tell me
all that I am is enough
to be all you need
emogirl

I am empty
broken
incomplete
wanting to love you
but you push and push
pushing me away
you are so beautiful
just wanting to touch you
but you push and push
pushing me around
you are all I need
isnt that enough to try
emoguy

We find salvation
has its price
who we were fades
as we find our missing parts
entangled in the lies known as us
we are empty parts
broken
but together
we are complete
enough
for one another

I enjoyed, good sir! It is good to see your work expanding once again. I especially like the way that you broke up this piece by a number of pictures into segments.

"I am beautiful in your eyes
despite my scars
tell me
please tell me
all that I am is enough
to be all you need"

We all acquire our scars over time.

"we are empty parts
broken
but together
we are complete
enough
for one another"

Exactly! Do not look for perfection in an imperfect world. Look for "works for me!"

Great read!

Wow...you really hit on some truths here. This is one piece to stop and ponder. It is a no wonder that we are ever able to love one another at all when we are empty, broken, and incomplete creatures. Great piece and the pictures add to the feel of it.

I went back and read the poem sorry before I wrote this. I really like what you did with it. It is a completely different piece, but I can see how it inspired this piece. You are so right about completing each other. That is what we do. Wonderful work.

Well, girl meets boy even keeps out the lack of hope for the lack of hope brings lonliness and lonliness can become madness. If you got a minute drop by and read my latest called RUST. I liked this piece a great deal Robert because it speaks of the unhealthy fixation some people develope when they begin to depend on someone else for their own happiness. Too late, too few come to realize that true happiness must come from within.Good job on this.

This is new. Wonderful how you reach the depths of who you are and add that experience to words and ideas that you meet until the mixture erupts into words of such pure expression. You have ink in your veins, you are a writer.

This is really good, Robert...you have a way of conveying an emotion that is unsurpassable...the longing and the feelings of being pushed away and frustrated are so crisp here...excellent stuff :)

can fly again.. love it ... the descriptions are right on target.. will read Raven's poem today..

A wonderful message Robert. What I like the contrast between the man and the woman's needs and desires. Life really is like that, it isn't the perfect picture and candy coated existence that the media portrays it to be. I think after we get older we start to see things for what they really are and we become more willing to accept others in their imperfections as we desire to be accepted in our own. It is a good message, I tell my daughters the same thing all the time about their own relationships. It's a fine line sometimes but you have to strive to find it.

The writing is excellent as thats exactly what you've shown here, good job!!!
