And The Rain Falls Down (Simple Sonnet)

And The Rain Falls Down (Simple Sonnet)

A Poem by Jeff Miller
"

Written for "And The Rain Falls Down" it is a sonnet that consists of 14 lines with ten syllables per line. However, there is no volta and the rhyme scheme is a simple A-A-B-B-C-C-D-D-E-E-F-F-G-G

"

I love the smell of such a superb day

I love the sky’s outline of darkened gray

When there’s a feel of magic in the air

When each gust energizes your own hair

Memories rush back of being a child

Days like today make you a little wild

When ev’ry droplet hits you in the face

They seem to make ev’ry problem erase

Today evaporates all of your stress

Today all you are is a drenched wet mess

Today you can be true to the real you

Tomorrow the sky shall return to blue

So, of course I welcome the God sent rain

Thank you, My Lord, for refreshing my brain

An impressive write about the joys of rain. I like the positive feelings this gives about rain. Nicely written sonnet. I think you're doing a really good job on these.
