If I Was Your Girl

If I Was Your Girl

A Poem by Jeff

If I was your girl

Would you let me

Care for you

If I was your girl

Would you dress

For me

Would you show me

What you bought

Your man

Would you tell me

All the dirty things

I want to hear

If I was your girl

And your man

Hurt you

Would you run to me

Let me take care of you

Like your girl could

If I was your girl

And I wanted to

Make out with you

Would you let me

Some drunken night

Let me kiss you down there

Would you let me

Have every ounce

Of your love

If I was your girl

Would lay with me

Wrapped in a warm silence

Would you share

Your darkest secrets

Your greatest joys

If I was your girl

Would you...

Would you be my girl

Brilliant imagery. The bitterness of an unrequited lover really shows here and it's so refreshing to read about a gay relationship! Awesome :)

Thank you! I was really trying to experiment with this piece.
I really love that you took a risk on this one and it paints a great picture of a jealous friend/wannabe lover.
