We just had to put down our family dog of fifteen years, and I'm pretttyy upset :(

Fifteen years has come and gone,

But it did not seem like that long.

You came into our life so long ago,

And now was your time to go.

 

You will be greatly missed,

Tears will run as we ball our fists.

You will always be in our hearts,

As you were from the start.

 

You leave us with memories

Some that only I can see,

And some of guardianship

And we'll miss it, more than a bit.

 

It was for the best,

And it was the ultimate test.

It was your time to go,

This much, I know.

 

I hope you're in a better place,

One with much less disgrace.

I hope you're looking over me,

And I hope that you are happy.
