The Tower of Babble

The Tower of Babble

"

I have been reading the Bible again, and the way I interpreted it.. It sounded like God was playing an odd trick on the humans!

The Tower of Babble

The Tower shoots

screaming up into the

azure sky of late Summer.
How proud are they,

the children of my

imagination. I have

toiled so hard for them

and what do they do?
Build this tower,

and they are saying

they can reach Heaven

with it? Ha! Let me

make things a little

harder for them.

It is not that
I am being cruel,

nor that I am
punishing them

for some reason

or another.
No, I thought

I would simply

have some fun

with them.

But what is

fun for a God?
Chaos

and disorder

are the funniest

things of all for

any God

and Ours is

no different.

Yet does

that mean

he doesn't

love us?
Of course

not.
For through

the love of

our fellow man,

do we spread

the love of

Our Lord.

So let us

take a moment

and pause

as we think

about the strange

humor that

could cause

one to make

His people

speak in tongues,

so they could not

understand one another!

Babble,

babbling

like a brook

of icy cold

water that

freezes in

the veins of

our sister

Dryads,

and we

seem to think

ourselves special

for some reason

or another.

I know it is spelled Babel in the Bible, but I am playing on words here.
