Based around my day

I saw the doves,

A mix of white and black,

And thought I had hope,

Thought...

 

 

The day seemed happy,

Sadness did fill his face,

But I thought he was alright,

Thought...

 

 

I noticed the tears in her eyes,

Just the ex she explained,

I thought I knew the whole story,

Thought...

 

 

I saw the hate in their eyes,

And I could feel it in my heart,

I thought I knew why,

Thought...

 

 

I closed my eyes and imagined happiness,

Hoping I could find it,

I thought I already had,

Thought...

To be honest, I'm not sure I liked the Thought... at the end of each stanza. Seemed like it threw me off a little bit. But regardless, the rest seemed to flow quite nicely. Great write!
