One Sweet Day

One Sweet Day

A Poem by Jessica Lohman
"

Nice days to hold dear

"

I truddle along,
Following the path you made,
Along the banks of a twisted river.

Chilling cold clung deep,
Slippery warmth hung steep,
Combination spinning a shiver.

My heart was there,
Desire swirling there,
Glancing wherever I might find you.

Your eyes peaked over,
Green bushes uncovered,
Where you lie below the sky of blue.

Inviting me near,
Doddled to the corner,
Smoothened grass to take your hand.

Cheers you with Jamba,
Invite you to rumba,
Fall asleep in the joy of the land.

A swell of a day,
So few I'm afraid,
Grateful for those that we have.

Your always welcome,
Flatter my cushion,
Wink and pretend we behave.
