The HauntingA Poem by Jessica Q
I have never believed in ghosts But I know that a few haunt me Haunt me in my fantasies and my realities They remind me of good times They remind me that I have grown, loved, and lost Phantoms consume my imagination The pages and the ideas pile up As my pen moves across the page, it shakes The ultimate weapon is the mind, my mind My mind is my savior My heart that is too big for my body is my peace It screams, flutters, bleeds, shines, feels Full of compassion Full of a scarlet, fiery fervor My beautiful, curvy body exudes strength The curves of my body, of my mind are destined To uplift the world, to make an impact on the world To influence To succeed To remain a full body, a full mind Absorbing knowledge wherever I go A beautiful mind, filled with memories Memories of times that will never be forgotten Haunting memories of joy and agony The ghosts remain I don’t mind them, but they haunt me Sometimes I like the company within my solitude But I have never believed in ghosts © 2008 Jessica QReviews
