Will I Be Free?

Will I Be Free?

A Poem by Jester

A beautiful bird sits

In a golden cage,

And sings his sweet song

To the heavens.

And he wonders:

“Will I ever be free?”

A wolf prowls his entrapment,

And howls a long note,

Full of sadness and longing,

At the moon.

And he wonders:

“Will I ever be free?”

A young girl sits in the darkness,

And sings in a language

That not even she knows,

The long forgotten language of the stars.

And she wonders:

“Will I ever be free?”

So true. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to this poem. I think it's amazing how you showed the various perspectives that living beings come from yet can experience then same emotion.

This piece spoke volumes to me today...and I am certain it will many days to come...Freedom from our own confines are as individual as our fingerprints...yet I think the Need to be Free is a song sung in unison ...Your peotry is straight no chaser...I can see I'll be an avid fan...I'd rate it 100 if I knew how...laughing...Not sure about the rating thing...just know I love it...!

I often ask myself the same question when I feel trapped and there is no way out. "Will I ever be free?" Who can say for sure. Some people are trapped their whole lives inside a body that they don't want. How horrible that feels when the skin that your in disgusts you.

Another great read. I'm in absolute awe of how I'm liking you pieces. I have many more to go, but I'm having lots of fun right now reading these deep poem. You have an amazing talent.
