Memories Of You

Memories Of You

A Poem by Donald Olds

Memories of you

Your decimating words and

your menacing smile.

I don't know what to do

when I'm around you

You tease and you play,

But I just stand there

doing nothing but hanging on to you,

afraid to let you go.

Your kiss would have been enough to make

a strong man cry. A poor man feel rich,

but me- I couldn't take it.

To love you feels like a sin,

but it's right, like nothing can go wrong.

I really really like this one!
Makes me think of certain people.
Can totally place them in this poem.
