My Last Goodbye

My Last Goodbye

A Story by ElizaB

My last goodbye. Three words enough. No explanation; no reason why. Your love, no longer a handcuff, beneath the darkest sky. Violin and birdsong cling to me. To my ears, to my soul and all we use to be.

A distant night grows bleak, I allow the stars to watch me as I claw the rug and weep. My moon; she does not mind, she’s watched me fall apart, and held my hand and laughed with me when I first found your heart.

At last; the blinds are closed, the door is locked, the days will pass and your heart will rot.

Forgive me, whilst I get my coat.

My last goodbye.

That’s all I wrote.

Short, yet a very powerful piece!
Goodbyes are indeed the toughest decisions we can ever make...The mind orders toeave, the heart hesitates, but the soul knows it's gonna be hard...And maybe the scars remain forever.

Thankyou for sharing this piece.
