A Change Is Coming

Trap in the shadow,

Shadow of my past life

Can’t let go of the things,

Things that made me happy

It is you that I still want

 

And I’m still tangled up inside

My heart is in misery

Still I can’t let go of you

Can’t let go of the hurt that you brought into my heart

The way you left me unspoken in silence

Fill with emptiness in my heart

 

You just don’t know that you’re my dream

My dream that will not come true anymore

So I just boxed that dream

Boxed it so that it will not spill

So that I will not be dreaming for that dream anymore

 

I want to be free from this hurt

But I still love you

So now I’ll let you go and be happy

Even it hurts inside

If that what it takes to be free from this pain

I’ll do it and change my lonely life

 

I know a good change is coming in my life

To change that dream,

That abandoned dream of mine

To dream again

To be free again.

A change better come and it better come soon and I don't get mad easily, but all the racism keeping people from each other makes me sick. And you know if someone tells me I can't hang out with someone, because of how they look...I'm going to go out on a limb! I love this you did a good job keep it up!

Once the veil of pain is taken from the face and the tears are revealed to the world, that's when the realization hits - "Thank God it happened". This is a strong work, here. Reminds me of the torment of still being love with someone who didn't want you, and then how I have done the same to another. Bravo.
