The Ashen Rise of GoodwillA Poem by Jo-JoWide eyed I gaze intergalactic . I grasp my soul as to shelter my heart.. Close my drapes to protect my windows from ill intentions. I stare bewildered now at the blasphemy shooting through the galaxy. I choose not to run from the filtration instead I long to detonate the destruction; Piercing the atmosphere with blazing betrayal of gospels. Hurling viciousness with mercurial speed towards earths heretic inhabitants. I know I can not be touched for the belief within my being allows not. Yet I am the sole witness of the sabotage.
I run towards the village in bare feet. The sky is ablaze with disturbance, still I run among falling stars now reminiscent of charcoal. My feet covered in ashes. The earth swallowed in part as craters dissolve the stars at rest. If the rapt was unalloyed the visual affect would appear splendid. Yet the intention is afflicted and the scenery one of vast devastation. I run not from the wrath filled shards attempting my fate.. Attempting to lure my faith.. I run to the village of innocent civilians to warn of the befall.
The be-relevance of balance, the fall of demons . The lurk amongst goodwill need be stilled. I fall to my halter in prayer and peer at the iridescent moon , unharmed in the now stilled sky. The earth swallows the craters and I gaze as new life arises from the carnage. To my feat I stand amongst a luscious meadow filled with sunflowers . Glorious green grasses and yellow petals reach to the horizon . As the moon recedes and the dusk beckons the dawning all is well again. Life has restored all resolution . Curtains closed now reopen .
Ashes return to richness of soil to nurture the new growth. Hope inspired faith unrestrained pertains existence. Remained persistence be leafs contradictions. Testimony effervescent endured the suspicion . Bare feet dance on soft scented pastures bountifully blessed. Amid the opening of pleasant scented flowers reminiscent of the rising sun . © 2012 Jo-Jo |
