The Shadow of a Person

The Shadow of a Person

A Poem by Jodie Straker
"

My "best friend" stabbed me in the back and it really hurt. Many people have felt the same so I decided to express my emotions through a poem.

"
Every so often,
I turn and see,
A shadow of a person,
Following me.
Shouting my flaws,
Shouting my mistakes,
Behind me every step,
Never seeming to brake.
The shadow of a person,
I foolishly used to trust,
Before I whitnessed,
Our friendship rust.
From the sibling that smiled,
To a ready to attack foe,
I can't help but wonder,
Where did our friendship go?
