Baptisms

Baptisms

A Poem by John F Carver

Lord Jesus Christ baptized not even one

In water but in and with the Holy Ghost:

But in the water their flesh does die to see what's done

Because their filth is washed, their sin from the host.

In the Holy Spirit their flesh and their spirit die

In the water the baptism was done again

And again and again for they sinned again is why

In the Spirit once is all there's ever been.

The longest baptism was Adam's of course

From Paradise to resurrecting the dead

So glad will he be he forgets all of his remorse

To live on the new Earth under Heaven instead.

The important one was when the Spirit revived

In Jesus to raise him to heaven one last time

When sin's power forever lessening dived

Like death we find its end in that sublime.

So praise the Father, the Holy Ghost and the Son

A great and marvelous thing our God has done!!!

About
If you want a lot of faith ask God to put the spirit of your flesh into a deep dreamless sleep until your body dies that only he can wake it from like I did. It is a good idea if you find you are not .. more..
