Reflecting on Him we Love

Reflecting on Him we Love

A Poem by John F Carver

God never lies when he gives utterance

The Holy Spirit never will he's guaranteed

Should God put us in one or an other trance

It will not be a lie. Take eat. I feed.

When you're in the Holy Spirit you are in God

You needn't claim you are you always are

Every thought or word or action's in him we laud

But they think God's a liar because they know we are.

So in a way when saved our sins don't reflect on us

But would damage the reputation of our God

Who will not desert us finding ways to curb us

Before we do too much to ourselves which are flawed.

He is embarrassed by what we do in our flesh

Even as we should be expecting more

Than an unholy tear or holes in our mesh;

Feeling rich we discover we were actually poor.

Let's think on it some; what we do is not right

Let's ask forgiveness not thinking of us but him tonight.

When we sin we should grieve for what we do to God even as he grieves for what we do to ourselves. Let it be that we forgive ourselves even as he forgives us for the embarrassment we caused him.

Our sin both reflects on us and on God. Both relationships can be damaged I fear.

If you want a lot of faith ask God to put the spirit of your flesh into a deep dreamless sleep until your body dies that only he can wake it from like I did. It is a good idea if you find you are not .. more..
