I Lied

I Lied

A Poem by John F Carver

A man lied in the Holy Spirit embarrassing God

He is so embarrassed he will not talk to me

I have fallen and will go to hell abroad

From the children of God for my heresy.

When Jesus was here he was not expected to lie

I will be so I must be careful with what I say

I am dead but him whom I was is alive and won't die

I will die and how I wish that the time was this day.

Whether I tell the truth or a lie my fate is the same

That I do I still do in the Holy Spirit except

Should I lie, that he will not do in Jesus' name

Or in any name so the truth I should have kept.

I am as an adulterer that aims to recover

His reputation and truth is to me his lover.

I am so sorry. Why treat me as a pedophile or a homosexual? What does that gain either of us? This is a chance for me to show my love for you. Do you consider it beneath you for you to love me or anyone in Jesus' name? Who then is most unfaithful they who will not love or one as I am?

If you want a lot of faith ask God to put the spirit of your flesh into a deep dreamless sleep until your body dies that only he can wake it from like I did. It is a good idea if you find you are not .. more..
